As the Sales & Marketing Manager at Yangaro, my role involves sharing the beauty and unique experiences we offer with the world. Each day, I focus on connecting with potential guests, crafting engaging campaigns, collaborating on guest experiences, and ensuring our offerings reflect the luxury and relaxation of the Whitsundays. My day-to-day is a blend of creative strategy and collaboration with our wonderful team.

What excites you the most about marketing a destination like Yangaro in the Whitsundays?
Marketing Yangaro is such a joy because it’s truly special! The Whitsundays is a stunning destination, and sharing the exclusivity, natural beauty, and experiences we offer here feels so rewarding. I love inspiring people to dream of their perfect getaway, knowing Yangaro can bring that vision to life.

How do you approach creating a brand experience that reflects the unique luxury and beauty of Yangaro?
I approach it by focusing on the authentic feel of Yangaro, where luxury meets a relaxed, intimate setting. Every detail matters, from visuals to messaging, to convey the balance of sophistication and warmth that guests experience here. My goal is to create a brand journey that mirrors the serene, luxurious experience guests can expect.

What are some of the most memorable guest experiences or events you’ve helped promote at Yangaro?
A standout has been launching Yangaro as a wedding destination, creating truly unique and intimate celebrations against our beautiful Whitsundays backdrop. I’m especially excited as we expand to host our own signature events, from wellness retreats to curated culinary experiences, designed to immerse guests fully in the beauty and tranquillity of Yangaro.

In your opinion, what makes Yangaro stand out as a luxury destination, especially for weddings and special events?
Yangaro stands out because it offers both exclusivity and warmth. The breathtaking views, beautiful villas, and exceptional service create a truly magical experience. Our expert team is onsite to handle every detail, ensuring a seamless journey from planning to celebration, allowing each guest to simply relax and enjoy. It’s this perfect blend of personalization, luxury, and attentive care that makes Yangaro ideal for unforgettable weddings and events.

How does your team collaborate with other departments, like Guest Services, Housekeeping and the Gardening team, to create seamless guest experiences?
Collaboration is essential at Yangaro! I work closely with Guest Services, the Gardening team, and Housekeeping to ensure a seamless experience for every guest. From perfecting event setups and creating stunning garden settings to ensuring pristine villa spaces and prompt responses to guest needs, each team brings something unique. Together, we create an environment where guests feel truly cared for at every touchpoint, making their stay effortlessly enjoyable.

What role do partnerships with local vendors and businesses play in enhancing the Yangaro experience?
Local partnerships are incredibly valuable. By working with trusted local vendors, we bring authentic experiences to our guests—whether it’s local seafood, guided tours, or adventure activities. These partnerships allow us to offer curated experiences that reflect the Whitsundays’ best.

Can you share any upcoming promotions or events that guests can look forward to at Yangaro?
We’re excited to launch the Yangaro Summer Escape, which offers guests exclusive benefits for stays of 3, 5, or 7+ nights this season. It’s a great way for guests to experience the Whitsundays with extra touches like welcome breakfasts, spa treatments, and extended check-in options.

What do you see as the biggest trend in luxury travel and wellness tourism, and how does Yangaro fit into that?
A growing trend is the desire for immersive, wellness-focused getaways where guests can truly disconnect and rejuvenate. Yangaro fits beautifully into this trend with our focus on wellness amenities, including thermal therapies, a Day Spa, and curated experiences that prioritise relaxation and well-being.

What’s one of your favourite things about working at Yangaro, and what do you love most about the Whitsundays?
My favourite part of working at Yangaro is witnessing that “wow” moment as guests step through the gates and into their villa, instantly captivated by the beauty and exclusivity of the grounds. I’m also lucky to work with a team that’s genuinely dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences, no matter the occasion. And what I love most about the Whitsundays is how it offers a truly quintessential Australian experience—from the Great Barrier Reef to the incredible local produce—making each stay as memorable as it is unique.
